Japansk drapering

Japansk drapering er en særlig teknik, hvor man tilpasser tøjet direkte til kroppen.

Eleverne på Mode & Tekstil blev i dette projekt introduceret til drapering gennem japanske Shingo Satos metoder. Frem for at måle op og tilskære tøjet syr man direkte på ginen, og har mulighed for at tilpasse tøjet direkte til kroppen. At arbejde på denne måde med et fladt stykke stof og direkte over i 3D giver mulighed for at skabe former, som man ikke havde tænkt var muligt. Det er en eksperimenterende og spændende tilgang til form og mønsterkonstruktion, netop fordi man tilpasser tøjet direkte til kroppens form.
